Off Lease Only auto dealer preps big expansion new Orlando airport

Used car dealer Off Lease Only, Inc., is preparing to triple its footprint northeast of Orlando International Airport and solidify a claim as Greater Orlando’s top-selling auto dealership by volume.
The company owns and or leases more that 28 acres on the northwest corner of Narcoossee and McCoy roads, with its dealership based at 7948 Narcoossee Road and more than 1,000 vehicles on site as of Wednesday.
Up until the past year only a quarter of that was developed, but in recent months Off Lease Only has started paving its way to expansion.
“We’re very excited about our Orlando location. It’s only of our largest (among five in Florida) and demand from the I-4 corridor has led us to sell on average 1,400 cars or more per month, whereas a typical auto dealership sells 300 to 400 per month,” chief administrative officer Ejola Cook told Growth Spotter. “When we first opened in 2014 we were only on a 10-acre site, but now we’re taking steps to expand.”
Over the past six months, Off Lease Only has been expanding its inventory lot by paving and installing drainage infrastructure across more than 23 acres, with work done by Elite Construction.
The company filed a final site plan on Monday with the city for a new 20,000-square-foot sales building, which will be more than double the size of its current sales office and include a new access point to the property along McCoy Road.
Cook declined to specify the company’s projected investment in the Orlando expansion, other than “in the many millions.” It is in talks now with Schmid Construction to server as general contractor for the new sales building, after Schmid built worked on its Palm Springs dealership and has overseen the Orlando paving and drainage work as of late.
The company will be leasing the entirety of 10.4 acres directly west from Reich Properties, which will be paved and improved for more vehicle receiving and storage, Cook said.
Paving and drainage work on the new inventory lot should be done by late July, Cooks said. Construction on the new sales building would follow city permit approvals, with May 2018 a target for all work to be complete.
“Orlando smashed all our expectations, and grew so much faster than we anticipated,” Cook said. “Over this next year that whole corner of Narcoossee and McCoy should come together nicely. Then hopefully with a new fuel station and hotel and John Reich’s property plans, McCoy Road will come into its own.”
RLC Architects and VHB, Inc., Have provided architectural and civil engineering wrk on the expansion thus far.
